Private firm to run struggling NHS hospital

Circle has been chosen to run 266-bed Hinchingbrooke hospital in Huntingdon, which has debts of about £40 million. The firm, which operates a John Lewis style-partnership model for its employees, will be responsible for clinical services including an emergency department, cancer treatment and a maternity ward. It will also run non-clinical services.
