Generic one to one case study: Anna

Anna contacts POhWER to ask if they know how she can get to see her GP records
-
The Advocate tells Anna what he knows about the process and tells her the ways that an Advocate could help her
-
Anna has been told by a friend that she has to pay to see her records and wants to know if this is right
-
The Advocate suggests that she could confirm this with the GP Practice Manager
-
Anna calls the Advocate back almost straight away to say that she has telephoned the GP and she has been informed that she will only have to pay for any photocopies she wants
-
Anna also tells the Advocate that she is happy to apply to see the records on her own and does not need help to do this
-
However, she says she wants the Advocate with her to help her to look at the records when she finally gets to see them
-
The Advocate supports Anna on two occasions to go through her records and mark up the pages she would like copies of
