Open Public Services White Paper- Service users have their say!

POhWER have facilitated over 200 people with complex needs to give their views on the Government's proposals for opening up the provision of public services.

Some of the key messages from our Service users are:

They want realism about what it takes to enable individuals and families with complex needs to use individual budgets and access services.
They want choice as reality for all.
They want to be involved in deciding about the information and support that will help them to make informed choices.
They want protective measures to remain in place.
They want steady, well managed implementation with those most in need being in the forefront of policy development and implementation not lagging behind.
