You are here: Home / News /POhWER has submitted our response to the Governments consultation on its white paper on plans to change the NHS called "Equity and Excellence: Liberating the NHS"
Our thanks to over 700 members who took part in surveys and focus groups to help us provide the government with a really credible view about what the changes could mean for us and the people we work with.
You thought there was much to welcome in the proposals if they are done well - and you are passionate believers in the concept of "Nothing about us, without us" but were concerned about how well the voices of the most vulnerable members of our society would be heard and taken into account.

Our response was presented by our Trustees Judith Smart, Carol Lee and Neil Hoskin to Stephen McPartland MP at POhWER's head office in Stevenage on 1st October. Mr McPartland was very interested to hear from the Trustees about POhWER's work across the country.
We look forward to seeing the Governments response to the consultation and to learning about their plans for the future.
